Get into the spirit of Fall and enter the Scarecrow Invasion Apple Pie Contest on October 4th, 2024!
Eligibility
The contest is open to anyone residing in Grey County, Ontario and takes place on the day of the Scarecrow Parade and Family Festival – October 4th.

Young Baker Apple Pie Novelty Contest for Best Decorated Pie, Ages 8 – 12
Apple Pie Criteria
Homemade 9-inch double crust pie on aluminum pie plate for judging
NO nuts, raisins, or additional fruit
ONE (1) pie per person for judging
Young Baker contest includes a novelty category for best decorated pie. Edible decorations only, please.
How to Enter
Deliver your pie to Christ Church Anglican, 34 Boucher St. E., on October 4th between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM
Prizes:
Top three (3) winning apple pies from traditional and young baker contests will be presented with a gift from a local area business.
Pie Auction & Sale
Top three (3) winning apple pies will be auctioned during the Family Festival in the Rotary Pavilion Harbour. All pie entries and donated pies will be sold at the Family Festival. Proceeds from the auction and sales of pies will go towards the 2025 Scarecrow Invasion and Family Festival.
